Despite the current oppressive humidity of the DC area, I must contemplate our plans for this coming fall. Within my profession there is a typical seasonal shift towards decorative gourds and holiday ornaments, which I do make on occasion, but I am looking forward to creating a wider variety of fungi forms, incorporating sculptures into blown forms and adding borosilicate parts to my soda-lime vessels to create oil lamps, just to tell of a few directions I’m thinking.
